Palmasola
Venezuela, 1980
A date palm tree, a pool and porticos. The basic shape of the house is a parallelepiped with a cube shaped living room surrounded by a circular portico. Inside there is an alternation of light airy rooms and cool shady areas. The screened-off entrance patio leads to the house on one side and to the garden on the other. The hall is covered by a barrel vault which runs along the body of the house ending in a semicircular lunette. From the hall one can go toward the corridor living area which opens to the exterior walled gardens.
