Visitors will enter the museum through a covered pedestrian street that leads to the harbor and once inside to the museum are able to circulate from the more public oriented spaces to the exhibition spaces seamlessly. Taking advantage of this unique site, the museum will be a gathering place for both the city residents and the visitors through a generous sequence of public spaces that will incorporate views that celebrate the unique urban and natural qualities of Helsinki.
